The time to be better is now. I remind myself.
No ghost of the past can improve my life now.
No worry or anxious thought of a possible future event can replace the power I have now.
Now is the time to:
- heal
- let go
- be grounded in reality
- understand what's in my control
- act
Tomorrow seems to never come. No promise of any future event can take away the gift of now.
This I remind myself daily. When tired, and worried, my insides turning upside down I retreat to myself, I retreat to now.
I ask what is it that I can do now to be better, to be ok? The answer is always "be here, present in this moment, live in the now".
